Everyone has a story to tell. And just like you, I’m sure that my story is not much different. You see, I too, have been on an arduous journey called “life” — searching high and low for meaning and purpose; unfulfilled with where I was but unsure about where to go and how to get there. I’m that someone who has held dreams so close to her heart but delayed giving birth to them  because of distractions — procrastination, fear, feeling unqualified, and fear of what others might think. You name it – I had  it. And I wandered down a long winding path that continued to teeter slowly on the edge – never quite making it to the center. I kept on going – farther and farther away from my intended destination. Instead, I was on an unfamiliar course.  Yes, I knew what I wanted but I was afraid to reach out and take it. Not understanding why.

But hindsight is always 20/20. As I look over my life today and trace its pattern, I understand now that the only thing that stood between me and my dreams was me. I had not allowed myself the freedom to achieve my dreams or to allow them to emerge from the shadows of my heart.  Instead, I remained stuck on the edge of indecision, procrastination and fear. So I wasted many years being unproductive and unfulfilled in the call on my life for usefulness — using the talents that God blessed me with to move assuredly into my God-ordained life.

So here I am in the season of my life that consists of unmet, unfulfilled expectations from not reaching upward. With the unintended consequences of mute choices. Dissatisfaction. Disillusionment.

Women in purpose is about recognizing that your usefulness has been established and ordained by the God who created you at the very time He created you;  that God has already made room for the gifts and talents that He knows are on the inside of you. He’s simply waiting for you to access them as you step into place.

1.  Know without a doubt that God created you with purpose on purpose
2.  Recognize that you are God’s creation and that your usefulness has been   ordained by Him.
3.  Accept how God made you — with weaknesses, strengths, and abilities that He   purposely uses to fulfill your life and bless the lives of others.
4.  Strive for excellence in whatever you put your hand and heart to do.
5.  Have a desire to serve others more than a desire to be served.
